Payment methods and the guest payment page
Set up bank transfer (with IBAN/SWIFT), PromptPay QR and payment links, send guests their payment page, and confirm the payments they report.
Guests pay through a payment page made for their booking. It shows the amount due and the ways you accept money. You choose those ways per community.
Set up how guests can pay
- Open Communities, tap the pencil icon on the community (on small phones: ⋮ → Edit) and scroll to Payment methods.
- Fill in at least one method. Everything is optional.
- Bank transfer: Bank name, Account holder, Account number. For guests paying from abroad, open International transfer (optional) and add the IBAN, SWIFT / BIC and Bank address. In Note for guests you can ask guests to put the booking number in the reference.
- PromptPay ID: a mobile number, a 13-digit tax or ID number, or an e-wallet ID. It is used only for bookings in Thai baht; the payment page turns it into a QR code with the exact amount.
- Payment links: up to 3 links from Stripe, PayPal, Wise or similar, each with a Button label and a link starting with https://.
- Contact: WhatsApp (in international format, such as +66 81 234 5678), phone and email. Empty fields use your organization's details.
- Tap Save. If a field is marked red, its format is wrong.
Send the payment page to a guest
- Open the booking and tap Payment page link.
- Tap Copy and paste the link into your chat with the guest, or tap Share to send it with WhatsApp, LINE or another app.
The link also goes out with the deposit reminder and payment reminder messages (see Automatic reminders and message templates).
What the guest sees
- The amount due: the deposit, or the remaining balance.
- Pay online, if you use Omise (see below).
- A PromptPay QR code with the amount filled in (bookings in baht only).
- Your bank details with copy buttons and the booking number as payment reference.
- Your payment links as buttons.
- The receipts you have issued, and your contact details.
When a guest says they have paid
The guest taps "I've paid" on the payment page, picks the method and amount, and can attach up to 3 screenshots of the transfer. You get a notification in the bell: Guest reported a payment, or Guest reports deposit paid if the booking is still pending.
- Open the booking. The report shows the method, amount, the guest's note and the screenshots.
- Check that the money has really arrived in your account.
- Tap Confirm received. Check the type, Paid via, the amount (leave it empty to use the amount due) and the date. For a pending booking, Also confirm the booking is ticked, so the booking is confirmed at the same time.
- If the money has not arrived, tap Dismiss. The report is closed and nothing is recorded.
Record a payment yourself
Cash at the desk, a card on your own terminal: open the booking and tap Add payment, then choose the type, the method, the amount and the date. A wrong entry can be voided with the Void icon and a reason. By default only the Owner and Manager can void.
A payment dated before yesterday counts as backdated and needs a reason. Months that are locked take no new entries. See Backdated payments and month locking.
Omise: optional card and QR payments
With your own Omise account, guests can pay by card or PromptPay directly on the payment page, and the payment is recorded and the booking confirmed automatically. The money goes straight to your Omise account. You can take payments without Omise. Only the owner can change the Omise settings, and all owners are notified when they change.
- Open More → Organization & invoicing → Online payments (Omise).
- Enter your Public key (pkey_…) and Secret key (skey_…) from the Omise dashboard, turn on Enable online payments and tap Save.
- Copy the Webhook URL shown below and add it in the Omise dashboard under Settings → Webhooks. Payments then appear in BaanHost faster.
