Sample data

Try BaanHost on a sample property full of bookings, guests and payments, then remove it with one tap.

Sample data lets you try every screen before entering your own property. BaanHost adds a separate sample property to your account. Nothing you have entered yourself is changed.

What you get

  • A sample property with 8 units in 2 room types.
  • About 25–30 bookings from the last 30 days to 45 days ahead, in every status: reserved, in house, checked out, cancelled and pending.
  • Guest profiles, payments, cleaning tasks and a few messages.

How to add it

  • In the last step of the setup wizard, or
  • at the top of the setup checklist on the Today page, or
  • from More.

Each account can have one sample property at a time.

It never reaches real guests or channels

  • It does not count towards your plan's unit limit.
  • It cannot be connected to Airbnb, Booking.com or other channels.
  • No messages, emails or push notifications go to guests from it.
  • It is never included in TM30 filings.
  • Night audit runs on it but does nothing outside BaanHost.
  • While it exists, finance and report pages show a notice that they include sample data.

Remove it

Owners and managers see a bar at the top of the Today page while sample data is on. Tap Clear sample data there and confirm. The sample property and everything in it are deleted; your own properties, bookings and money stay as they are.
